Black Forest
Black Forest is a rural residential community approximately 5 miles northeast of Colorado Springs and approximately 127 square miles in area. It consists of homesites predominantly 5 acres in size and more, many of which are beautifully forested with Ponderosa Pine trees. It sits on average at an elevation of 7,369 feet. Many lots are zoned for horses and other large animals and livestock. It is home to around 13,000 people! Fun Fact: only about 1/3 of the Black Forest is actually treed!
Black Forest offers 3 school districts: Academy School District 20, Lewis Palmer District 38 & Falcon District 49. These are very desirable districts when people move to the area.
Black Forest Regional Park is 370 acres, Fox Run Regional Park is 417 acres and both offer soccer fields, playgrounds, picnic pavilions & riding, hiking & cross country trails plus the Black Forest Section 16 Partnership Trail, which is a 4 mile non-motorized multi-use trail well used & enjoyed by equestrians, bicyclists & hikers.
Wildlife abounds in the area and you may find they like to pay visits to your property!
Conveniently located, it is 30 minutes to downtown Colorado Springs & approximately 45 minutes north to Denver.
